Jose Rizal Model Student Finalists Bared
The twenty finalists in the annual search for Jose Rizal Model Students of the Philippines have been chosen by the Selection Committee during its whole day meeting last December 3, 2008 at the Knights of Rizal International Headquarters in Manila.
This was announced by Sir Virgilio R. Esguerra, KGCR, Supreme Commander and Sir Emmanuel M. Cabusao, KGCR, Selection Committee Chairman recently.
The selected finalists who will all go to Mnaila for final interview and selection of ten winners on December 11, 2008 are as follows, in no order of importance:

They were selected from numerous candidates from various colleges and universities all over the country on the basis of clear, quantifiable grading system for each of their achievements, as follows:
1. Academic excellence - 35%
2. Student leadership (local activities) - 15%
3. Student leadership (regional activities) - 20%
The ten winners will receive their cash prizes, trophies and medals during appropriate ceremonies on December 12, 2008 at the Knights of Rizal Ceremonial Hall in Manila.
During the same program, the Top Model Student for each year from 1988 – 2007 will be honored by the Knights of Rizal to mark the 20th anniversary of the contest -- in recognition of the best in the Filipino Youth.
